What is RAPID NFR?

RAPID NeuroFascial Reset (NFR) is a newer movement based therapeutic technique that focuses on the central nervous systems in order to release tension and constraint within muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves.

There are a multitude of conditions that can be remedied by RAPID NFR including:

  • Headaches
  • Migraines
  • Whiplash
  • Shoulder Pain
  • Back Pain
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Shin Splints
  • Sciatica
  • Achilles Tendonitis
  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Knee Problems
  • Tennis Elbow
  • Golfer’s Elbow
  • Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ)
  • Frozen Shoulder
  • Bursitis
  • Bunions and Arthritic joints
  • Tinnitus

Clients may also want to treat the underlying sources of more general conditions, such as headaches and migraines, back pain, shoulder pain, or knee pain. RAPID NFR can also be a good treatment option if clients have scar tissue from surgeries, c-sections, or other procedures, or if they have past or recent injuries. Even long-term conditions and scarring can be treated using RAPID NFR.

If you aren’t sure if you’re a good candidate for RAPID NFR, be sure to reach out, we can evaluate and advise whether including RAPID NFR in your treatment plan could benefit you.

What is a Treatment Like?

Each session of RAPID NFR is usually a combination of examination and treatment. In order to provide the best treatment, the therapist will use their hands to evaluate the movement of muscle tissues, fascia, tendons, ligaments and nerves. Any abnormalities in these areas are treated by combining direct tension and specific patient movements.

Many people experience some pain and discomfort during the treatment. This is largely because the areas of damaged tissue are already locked down and experiencing hypersensitivity. In order to repair the damage, the neurological system needs to be stimulated by the movements. This stimulates the CNS, which will give the body signals (such as hormonal signals) to release tension in the area. All of this is necessary for the body to begin healing itself.

The soreness clients experience may extend to the day after the treatment. However, many people experience a great sense of relief over the following days, and significant improvements can be made with just a few treatments in many cases.
